The Foundation

Academic Excellence & Medical Passion

My medical training is rooted in a commitment to excellence, having ranked 1st in my class during my initial years and maintaining a Top 10 position throughout my six years at Tartous University (GPA 93.68%). This academic drive is directed toward Internal Medicine and Cardiology, a field I am drawn to by its immense breadth and the critical challenge it presents as a leading cause of global mortality. I believe the unique complexity of cardiovascular medicine offers an unparalleled landscape for integrating clinical practice with technological innovation. I view high-level clinical knowledge not just as an achievement, but as the essential foundation required to drive the technical advancements that improve patient outcomes and survival.

The Pivot

Driven by Two Realities

My pivot toward technology was fueled by two distinct realizations. First, navigating medical training in Syria highlighted the barriers of limited research infrastructure. I viewed technology not just as a tool, but as the essential key to bridging the gap between local clinical reality and global scientific standards. Second, I observed a universal gap in medical education: while we are trained to heal, we often lack the technical literacy required to navigate the modern healthcare landscape. I saw this digital fluency as a core competency for the future physician—one that allows us to master the technology rather than just utilize it.

The Vision

The Solution & Future Vision

To solve these challenges, I integrated technical training into my medical education, utilizing AI to self-navigate programming and architecture. This journey culminated in founding MedResearchCollab (MRC), an initiative that grew into a digital ecosystem designed to institutionalize research integrity and cross-border collaboration. MRC proves that through technology, we can collectively advance the standard of medical research regardless of resource disparities. Looking ahead, I am committed to pursuing a residency in Internal Medicine in the United States, with a clear trajectory toward a fellowship in Cardiology. To ensure I am fully prepared for this transition, I have successfully completed USMLE Step 1 and am currently finalizing my preparation for Step 2 CK. My vision as a Physician-Scientist is to integrate clinical rigor with AI expertise to improve outcomes in cardiovascular care.
